Ouch!

I don't know how but I hurt my left knee. Maybe it was the working out that did it. All I know is that it hurts when I walk, jog, run, jump, pivot, kick, or anything else that involves using my left leg.

I'm suffering in a deficit of providing pictures for you all. Sooner or later, I'll produce but for right now, please be patient with me. This society is very visual-oriented. I'd admit, I won't read a book unless it has pictures. But hey, here's a picture for you guys for the time being...

Day 3

Well, I started to go to the gym on Wednesday to stay active. My routine consists of a mile run to start out the day. Then, I would focus on an area of the body (upper or lower) and use machines to exercise the area. Then, after hitting the weights, I ride one of those stationary bike thingies for an hour. After stumbling off the bike, I make my way to the basketball court and miss every single shot I attempt to make. Finally, after having my self-esteem lowered by my lack of basketball ability, I end the day with a two-mile run.

Just to let you know, it hurts to type.

Hopefully, I stick with this routine. Maybe, I could add more on as time passes. Now, I think it's time to...ZZZ...ZZZ...

So...

So, I'm looking at you. You're looking at me. I'm looking at you looking at me. You're looking at me looking at you looking at me.

...What are you starin at!?

Access Denied

So, when I'm home I work on a military base with my mother. It's very high security. I went in last Friday to start work and apparently my name wasn't found in the system. What's up with that? So, I had to get dropped off back at the house where my sister, Petronia, was awaiting to go to the mall with our father.

Oh, well. I DID start work today though so, that was good.

Hey, here's a picture of me!

Nice Shades

I'm sorry but I love rose-colored shades! I just like the way I look in them. If you don't like them or you have some personal conviction on men wearing pink, then that's okay. It is highly unlikely that anyone will see me publicly in a pink shirt, tie, or any other form of clothing. But pink shades are another story altogether. I just might invest in a pair...I might.

My 1st Interim

Well, when May 8th came around, the student body was packing their cars and about to embark on a long awaited journey...home. For me, it was quite the opposite. I was packing my stuff to move to another dormitory because I planned to take an interim. For those who do not know, an interim is a class that is usually offered during a semester and is given within one week of instruction; having 5 hours a day of class time. I chose to take a class Baptist History and Distinctives. A brilliant decision on my part. The instructor that taught the class has the reputation for being quite tough. No, really tough. In fact, the hardest teacher we have at the school. And I, yes I, was going to take my first interim class.

We used a textbook, America in Crimson Red by James R. Beller. It was a really good book. We took quizzes out of the material, having 2-3 quizzes a day depending on how many chapters we read the previous night. Out of 11 quizzes, I pulled an average of a 78.4%. Needless to say, the quizzes were insanely difficult. The instructor is known for his hard quizzing. Being a little discourged within myself, it was time to study for the test. Hearing through the grapevine, his tests were even yet the harder. (Sigh)...so I did whatever an inadequate Bible college student would do, prayed! Not only that, but I asked various people to pray for me. Well, lady and/or gentleman, pray works! I got an 90% (that's an A in our book). I was in total disbelief, and yet I trusted God. Whatever the outcome, God was going to be good to me. And He is good to me.

Soccer Warm-up

Man, I am worn out! This afternoon, I went to play around with a soccer ball with a few of my friends. They're in perfect shape to run around and kick the ball. As for me, I get tired by watching soccer on TV.

Anyway, it was six of us and we split up in 3 teams. It was me and and a man named Galactico; he's from Brazil. Actually, his real name isn't Galactico but for the sake of his privacy, he can be the Queen of England for all I care. Anywho, it was fun and I enjoyed myself. I was the most out of shape but I still liked it. The highlight of the afternoon was when I scored a goal. It was completely accidental and I had no clue what I was doing but hey, It got a point on the board so horray for me, ya know.

Next semester, I would like to join the Crown College soccer team. I'm going to have to do a lot of working out and running during the summer. Am I willing to be that committed? We'll just have to wait and see.

Corban Lucas? That's not your name!

Yeah, yeah, I know I know. If you're wondering, neither Corban Lucas nor Garrison is my name. For those who DO know my name are aware of that but still no one really knows what's really behind these names. Here, allow me to explain it for you all.

"Corban Lucas" is somewhat of a compound name. They're are both Greek derivatives. Being a pastoral major in a Bible college, I'm required to take Greek. Fun...I know. Anyway, there is a passage in the gospel records (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John for the heathen) that shows "corban" as a word. This word originally means "gift." Names also have meanings. The name "Lucas" means "luminous" or "light." You put them together and it literally means "gift of light." I wanted to name one of my sons that. I thought it was pretty cool.

Garrison is the my great-grandmother's last name; my grandmother's maiden name. In the Bible, a garrison was a type of stronghold for armies. I wanted to name another of my sons Garrison El. In the Hebrew language, "El" simply means God. So it would come out as "stronghold of God" or something like that. The name Garrison is growing on me fast.

Okay, that was kinda pathetic but who cares? It's my blog and I do what I want to do with it. What now!?

P.S.- Thanks for reading :)

Take Two!

Well, here I go again! I tried this blog thing before but I just lost interest...and my password. So, I'm trying it again. I'm basically going to be griping and whining about recent occurances about my life and pathetically waiting for anyone who is willing to listen to my belly-aching.

Hopefully, this blog will have more than three entries like the last one I made. And hopefully, I'll remember my password.

To all those who are that bored to look at this blog...uh...welcome!
