See? I Told You I'd Do It

Smile...Christina!

Hey, It's...Steph

So Steph took my phone and took a picture of herself. I told her I'd turn her into a cartoon. I did just that. :)
Enjoy!!

Where's Everyone At?

I'm signed in on both MSN and Yahoo messenger and no one is online. Well, there are a few people but they're "Away." Today's a pretty boring day. I woke up, studied my Sunday School lesson, and then got on the internet to do what? Nothing. Played a few DP tracks (the remix of Aerodynamic rocks my socks everytime and Neptune's remix of Harder, Better, Faster, Stonger is really good too), checked my mail...nothing, and just stared at the screen.

If you get a chance search "beatbox harmonica" on youtube, google video, or whatever, I suggest you do it. This guy is insane. Well anyway, off to work early. It's a holiday weekend so we're going in from 3-6:30. Oh well, see ya'll later.

A Good Week

Yeah, it's a pretty good week for me. I got my check from Chick-fil-A, my Christmas money from my grandmother, and I received my grades. I reached my goal for my college career. I got straight A's. There were many times where I was close but this time, I finally got it. It feels good getting straight A's again. The last time I got them was when I was in the 7th grade.

I'm getting my check for work this Friday and I should be getting some more money for my report card. The majority of this money is going towards, you guessed it, my credit card. So I'll be looking forward to making payments on it. Well it's time to work, gotta make that money. Have a good day, ya'll.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Merry Christmas all of youse. Yes, it is raining but it is Christmas. Praise God for His provision, providing salvation through his Son Jesus Christ.

Someone asked me how my morning was. I told them I didn't have one, on account of I woke up at 12:30 p.m. I was up watching movies: Inside Man and Mission: Impossible III (both pretty cool movies)

Well, since I was up so late last night I delivered the gifts to my family. Some perfume for my sister, perfume and an iron for my mother and some...well...much needed clothing for my father. I got some cologne and 20 bucks. Yay!

Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season. But I think I'm speaking to an audience who knows that already but a reminder won't hurt. Merry Christmas everybody! Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Christmas Time is Here!

Christmas is coming hard and fast, ya'll. I already bought gifts for my mother and my sister. I've yet gone shopping for my father but I have a good feeling that what I'm going to give him is going to be in full supply so I'm not worried about it.

Maybe I should change my blog's theme to be more festive...

We'll see what I can do.

Interim

Yeah, another interim! Now, it's church finance. It's pretty cool so far. We take notes about church finance and take a quiz at the end of the day over the notes we just took. The nice thing about it, we get to look at the notes while we're taking the quiz! Ha! Well, class is about to begin. Peeth out.

P.S.- I'll try to get some pictures of my interim dorm mates...well, the ones that are in my room anyway

Home!

I'm home for Thanksgiving break! Thanksgiving was good. We did go to Baltimore and I got to see my grandma and several of my other family members. It was good. All my little cousins are growing up, it's so good to see that.

Today is Good Friday. You guys know it as Black Friday. That's why it's good. I gotta run some errands and hopefully no women will beat me up when they see me run off with the blouse they wanted...

Uh...anyway, have a good day, ya'll. Peace E-Z.

(P.S.- Since I know some Einstein will ask, FYI: I DON'T WEAR BLOUSES! Woe unto them that make a "blouse" comment)

It's Been A While

I know, I know, it's been a while since my last post. But between school, work, and simply not caring, I just haven't found the time to post. But I'm sure to have something for you in the near future.

Two days, people. Two days from now and I'll be on my way home for Thanksgiving break. I'm looking forward to it. My mom says that for Thanksgiving, we're going to Baltimore and having Thanksgiving with our extended family. And I have a real big family so it'll be cool. I'll take pictures and post them as soon as I can...and when I feel like it. Peeth out.

Toy, hang in there.

Fall Break 2006

We had some fun at Fall break! Check it out:
Obviously, something was in that soda.

I wonder if he knew that his computer wasn't on...

Whoa!!!

How would you feel if you had this guy around you all the time?
" Mommy, how do you spell propaganda?"

Don't ask. I don't have a clue either

Yeah, we had a blast. Can't wait to do it again!!

Commitment

I find it kind of funny how some people will hop on the band wagon with certain things (oh, for the sake of the conversation, let's use the example of blogs.) And they make a few posts because it's a "super neato duper idea" and everyone does it. But the last post they have dates back about 2 or 3 months ago. Heh, when will they learn.

Ugh!

THE INTERNET IS SO STINKIN' BORING!!!!

Open-Air Meetings

On this fall break, my friends and I went to these open-air meetings that Scott's church were holding. What we would do is go to a neighborhood, knock on the doors and tell everyone that we're having a meeting in a specific location (someplace nearby) and that if they came and participated in a raffle, they'll get different stuff. But before all of that, we'd preach the gospel to them. It was really good. Several people were saved and I was given the opportunity to lead two (2, dos if you're Spanish, duo if you're Greek) boys to Christ.

The stuff we gave away were pretty cool. We gave away bags of candy, 2-liter sodas, a ham (that's right folks, a ham) some stuffed animals and a bike! I wish I had pictures of it but I forgot to bring my camera. Stupid me, I know. But rewarding, nonetheless. Well, at least I know what on earth an open-air meeting is.

Fall Break!

Hey, guys. Long time, no post eh? Well, just got through mid-terms and Mission Conference. Sadie Hawkins was a blast, I'll show you some pics later. Right now, I'm at my friend Scott's house with Dave, Chris, and Jared. We're having fun and you're not. So...peeth out!

Hey Everybody!!

Long time, no post. At least, it feels like it. Want some photos? Well here ya go:

My Sunday school class, the Shepherd's Class. We have tons-o-fun!

Mission Banquet. Here's Cameron stuffing his face with some cake...the story of his life.

Jared makes fun of this security guard...not a good idea.

Bad news is that when I took the picture, the juggler dropped the pins and was fired...oh well!

Don't make fun, that's just the way he smiles.

And then there's me...need I say more?

Hey, It's My Birthday!

Yep, that's right folks. I'm 20 years old today. I feel so loved. I have brownies and cookies that my (female) friends have baked for me and my good ol' friend Scott bought me a Hardee's meal last night. I don't have any midterms today so this day can only get better!

Oh yeah, I woke up this morning with a pain in my shoulder and a lump in my throat. That's a nice present. Oh well, happy birthday to me!

No Cell Phone

So, I managed to lose my cell phone last Wednesday. I don't know how. All I remember is that I turned it on. I don't remember anything after that. I could've instinctively put it in my pocket. Heh, I let my mom know about it. She didn't seem too happy. Oh well, I'm still praying that'll turn up soon.

Okay...

I'm going to delete Y! Messenger. The only reason why I got it was to...um...you know, I really have no idea why I installed it. I'm going to delete it though. Well...see ya.

Heaven Rejoiced

On Thursday house-to-house visitation I was given the opportunity to lead a woman to the Lord. It was great! Her name is Holly and she has a 6 month old son Isaiah. She was very receptive and after dealing with her, she prayed that the Lord will forgive her of her sins. After she accepted Christ, I did not want to leave. I wanted to stay with her but we had to keep on going. Someone else will do a follow-up visit...they better or I'll do it myself! It was just fantastic. I don't know about you but I love it when that sort of thing happens!

Later on, we met an elderly mailman who was a Christian. He gave a powerful testimony and he encouraged us tremendously. Before we left, he stopped us and requested that we pray for his atheist co-worker. It felt great, it really did! I truly felt the presence of God.

Folks, that's what it's all about. Following the Lord and delighting yourself in Him. If you go to church out of drudgery or simply go for fellowship and that "your friends are there," I pray that the Lord will change your heart. It's all about surrending your life, wanting to know His will and delighting yourself in Him. Never get bored of it. Don't grow weary of the work. The Lord will bless like he did in my case.

And all God's people said...

Here Some Pictures

Picture time, yay!

Hey, a picture of a bunch of dorks smiling!

What on earth are we staring at?! Whatever it is, it has us all confused...nothing new for Rob

Um...yeah, thanks for the random picture

Thanks for the view of the gold mine, Scott

Never has Jesse been so happy; either that or he's trying his hardest to breathe...not sure

Hey, some fish

I'm not sure but I think he's having some sort of reaction

Hope you guys appreciate the randomness. Catch ya later.

What A Morning!

Man, okay let me set up the scene for you bloggers (all three of you). This morning, I had a heavy day in front of me. I had two tests to study for last night. It was kind of difficult to do because I also have plenty of assignments that are due on the day of the tests. Arrgh!

So we had dorm devotions last night, lasted about an hour. And my room had prayer time, lasted about just as long. So I was looking at starting my studying at 11:15 p.m. No big deal. Studied until 1 in the morning (how was I able to swing that?) I'm not sure. Everything was fine until Cameron started to act like a lunatic. Basically keeping everyone up. I woke up 6:45 this morning. What so bad about that? I usually leave the dorm at 6:45 in the morning. I had to take my shower, and get ready. I didn't leave the dorm until 7:20 and my class started at 7:30.

Made it to class on time, Praise God. And the test I spent studying for all night last night was the easiest test ever! Out of class early and here I am...so yeah, coolness. Just by reading, it doesn't sound so hectic but it was. But I'm fine now...yesssssss.

One Month

It's been a whole month being here this semester. It feels like an eternity. I have to wait one more month until fall break. However, I'm not coming home. I've decided to go over my friend Scott's house who lives about an hour outside of Nashville. It'll be fun, I can't wait! He still thinks that I'm going to drop out on him at the last second. I've already made up in my mind that I'm going; that is of course something serious happens. But that's the plan. Well, that's about it. Later ya'll.

Hey, if any of you are wondering why you can't post any comments on my blog, it may be due to the fact that I'm a Blogger Beta user and the rest of you just use the regular blogger. I believe these guys are working on it so I'm just being patient.

Two Laptops

Okay, so here's the thing. I have two laptops: my rinky-dink Gateway and my manly Gateway. Both have pro and con to accompany them. My rinky-dink is small, loud, and slow but it can connect to the internet. My manly laptop is fast, and sweet lookin! But it cannot hook up to the school's internet. So I'm on my little rinky-dink laptop posting this entry.

Oh yeah, sorry about the whole "no picture thing." It's kind of complicated but I'll try to post some soon. Well, until next time.

More Wi-Fi Places

Hey, everybody. It's been a while, I'm sure. Just a bit busy with classes starting and what not. Funny thing, my internet doesn't work at the school anymore. I think it's because they don't have my wireless address. I don't want to give it to them but I think if I have to in order to get on the internet there at school. But right now I'm at Halftime Pizza. It's a cozy little pizza place. I felt kinda bad coming in using their internet with no intention of buying anything so I just ordered some fries to tie me over. Being considerate, ya know. Nothing bad about that. I still love Buddy's BBQ though. I'd probably go there more than here because it's never crowded there. I've heard stories that this place on game nights are chuck full of people.

Heh, classes are going...uh...they're going. A lot of readinig. I'm taking three Bible classes: Minor prophets, poetic books, and pastoral epistles. And I'm taking a class called Christian Workers Library, in which I have to read Pilgrim's Progress, Foxe's Book of Martyrs, and two other books; along side several assignments. (sigh)...Oh well. There's nothing to it but to do it. Well, I gotta eat these loaded cheese fries, catcha lata!

Guess Who Got A New Laptop?

That's right folks! A new laptop! Eat your heart out Toy!

Good news:
Today, I just purchased a Gateway Platinum edition ML-37 with a AMD Turion 64 X2 processor with a 1GB DDR memory and 100GB hardrive. Platinumberg! And don't forget about the intergrated WLAN card.

Bad news:
It cost $937.91 and I put about $490 down. And I paid for it with...with...my...credit card. I liken it to Egyptian bondage. You get the fish, and the cucumbers, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic(Num. 11:5), but you still get smacked upside the head by an Egyptian if you don't make your own bricks...I'm not making any sense, am I? Oh well, makes sense to me.

Well, I'm going to enjoy this for a while. All ya'll have fun and keep smiling. I know I will be...

Friday, September 01, 2006

Okay...This Is Kinda Weird

Okay, so my computer says that I'm not connected to the internet but here I am posting something...strange, right?

Anyway, here are my classes: Theology of Christian Ed., Poetic Books, Homiletics, Greek III, Minor Prophets, Christian Workers Library, and Pastoral Epistles. 18 credit hours, fun fun fun.

I haven't posted in a while but be patient. Internet IS faulty and time is crunching on top of me, so to speak. So, if I don't text anyone often...I'm kind of in a bind. Just bear with me. A lot of work so I appreciate your patience. I'll have pictures next time, Lord willing. Well, keep smiling ya'll.

Hey, feeling down? Need some motivation? Then go to www.pathtoeternity.googlepages.com if you need some, you pathetic, low self-esteem having chump!

Wednesday Night Service

Yeah, I preached tonight. I wasn't nervous at all, despite how I might've sound. I don't stutter badly, but I did do it on a couple of occasions. Not because of nervousness but because I wanted to stay on point but there were different things I wanted to say, and they jumble together sometimes and then bleh, bleh, bleh comes out. But I praise the Lord for being with me, I couldn't have done it without Him and without people praying for me.

Now that the hard part is out of the way, more packing. (sigh)

The Wednesday Running of the Errand

Okay, this will be the last time in a long time that I'll title an entry like this. But there was a reason why I had to go to the mall this morning. One of the Superman shirts I bought had a terrible defect on the back. And I needed to go exchange it and bring the car right back so my father could go to work on time. I guess it wasn't so bad exchanging the shirt because I actually got the right size this time. My skinny wee-man of a friend wears a medium shirt. Wow, I wear a XXL shirt. I could wear a XL but if I don't want to look like a freak, I'll wear the XXL. Anyway, I exchanged the shirt, picked up some chicken-n-biscuits for me and my dad, and got back in plenty of time for him to go off to work.

I've been spending the last couple of hours packing and cleaning and packing. It's happening again. Some of you I'll be leaving (yay) and some of you I'll be coming to (yay). Now that I really want to bring my iPod to school, I know I'm not going to. Maybe I'll bring it after a break but for now, it's just going to chill in the house.

Preaching tonight. I'll post something to let you all know how it went. Gotta go, peeth out.

The Tuesday Running of Errands

Actually, they weren't errands at all. I just wanted to go to the mall one last time before I left for school this Thursday. I spent a lot of money today, though. I bought another Superman t-shirt for another friend of mine (because he said he wanted one. It set me back 20 bucks, just to let you know DSD), some shorts for recreation, a John Coltrane CD (classic jazz, you cats know nothing 'bout dat), a whopper jr. and a medium drink. I spent a total of about $50 or so. And no Toy, I didn't use my credit card and no "girl who likes to refer to herself as 'Me'," I didn't buy you any food. Besides, how cruddy would it have been if I burst into your classroom and chucked some chicken nuggets at you? It'd be pretty weird; fun but still weird beyond all reason.

(sigh)...I still got some packing to do and I still need to brush up on my sermon before tomorrow night. But before I go, let me tell you this story of what happened today. I was coming out of FYE (buying my Coltrane CD) when this guy came up to me.

"Hey, my man? I got this movie ticket for Superman and I want to try to get a refund but I'm not really supposed to be on the premises. I was in there but some girl spotted us so me and my friends had to leave. So could you go and get my money back for me?"

Okay...several things wrong here and all these things were going through my head. First, if you weren't supposed to be in the mall then why are you even here? How on earth did you get a ticket if you weren't supposed to get one? Second of all, I saw you walk out the exit and you had NO ONE with you. What friends? I even saw you walking around the mall several times by yourself and you're by yourself now. Thirdly, that's what you get for not using your brain. But all that came out was, "Don't you think that's a little dishonest? I wish I could help you but I just don't feel right about doing that. I'm sorry."

How's that being dishonest? I don't know but he left me alone. I really felt like helping him but something told me that he was trying to hustle me for some reason. Heh, oh well. Gotta get packin. Until next time...

Monday, August 21, 2006

The Monday Running of Errands

Well, they weren't really errands per se. Let's see:
1. Went to the mall and bought 2 pairs of dress slacks and 2 t-shirts (Venom for me and a Superman for a friend.
2. Got a haircut with extra long sideburns...yeah buddy!
3. Went to McDonalds and bought a McChicken, Dbl Cheeseburger, McValue fries and large sweet tea
4. Picked up my sister from her 1st day of school.

That's about it, I guess. Just a couple of more minutes and then it's off to work. Peace E-Z err'body (everybody for the laymen)

Feeling Light-headed...

So, I had to leave in between services today because I got light-headed. My head was pounding, it took effort to do everything, and I couldn't pay attention. So I drove myself home and told my sister to take the bus home. I took a 2 hour nap but that didn't help any. When I sit up or stand up it seems that all the blood leaves my head and I have to lay back down again. But when I lay down, my head starts to pound again. I don't know what it is but I hate it. But the good news is that it only lasts for about a day and I'm already feeling better. Maybe it's because I needed food in my system. I ate a few chips and a bowl or cereal.

Anyway, I do plan on going to church tonight though. Hopefully, I'll feel better tonight than I do now.

My New iPod

I can't believe I got an iPod, but I did. You may ask, "Do you need one?" That's very simple, of course not. And, I bought with my plastic. Man, what am I going to do with myself? Oh well, this thing is pretty sweet I guess. I tried to install the software to my desktop but I need Windows 2000 or XP in order for it to work. So I installed it onto my laptop but the disk space is running low. So that means that I either have to upgrade the desktop to 2000 or XP, or I have to update the disk space on my laptop but either way I'm going to have to upgrade.

But now, I managed to put some albums on the iPod: No More Night by the Crown College Choir and A Very Pop Christmas. I love Christmas music and I don't care if it's August! Anyway, I plan on putting more songs on it when I get back from work tonight. Shoes, a camera, various meals, gas for my dad's crummy jeep, and an iPod. This card is going to be the end of me, won't it?

Thursday, August 17, 2006

One Week Away

Ah, don't you hate repeating yourself? "Hey, so when are you going back to college?" they say. And of course I respond, "The 25th of August." I must've said that to everyone in my church at least twice. And I guarantee you that I'm going to hear it more this weekend. "You ready to go back?" No, I'm kicking and screaming about the fact that I have to go back to school where all my friends are.

Well there is a plus side from being at home...I'm home! I don't have to pay to do my laundry, I can sleep in until whenever (I like that one), I get to wear khakis and a polo (untucked, hehe) to Wednesday night services; ya know, stuff I don't usually get to do when I'm at school. But I have 7 days to clean, pack, pack, and clean. (sigh) Oh well, it's all good though.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Since someone has leaked this site to those who I consider in authority over me, "Life is a Highway" will no longer be played in the background or any other song for that matter. Thanks a lot...

Okay...maybe this song will do.

It's Monday Again

Monday's are such a drag, let me tell ya. I woke up at around 12 (hehe), went to cash my check, went a bought a carnitas burrito at Chipolte's (yum yum), and gave my tithe and missions to the church (since I didn't have to money yesterday). And in about an hour, I'll be on my way to work. (sigh) I gotta make that money, I guess. Until next time folks...

Bored and Hyper?

What's a guy to do when he's bored out of his mind and feeling a bit antsy? Take some Tylenol PM of course. Now, I'm still bored but all I feel like doing is laying down...but I won't. I figure I'll take two more before I really go to bed.

Marine Parade

Last night, my Sunday School class went to D.C. to watch a Marine Drill team. It was pretty sweet, I guess. There was this one group of marines called the "Silent Drill Team" where they performed with assault rifles without any audible cadences. They flipped their rifles behind their backs and caught them in the air, it was real neat. It was at night so the pictures are kinda hard to make out but here are a few:

This is where they performed, the Marine Barracks. That white house in the background is where the head honcho of the Marines live, the General...something or another. I don't really know I wasn't listening to the guy when he mentioned it but that is nice house.

This the band that played. They were pretty good.

Hey, here are a bunch 0' guys. The band was playing and the black coats were doing cool sancrinized movements with their rifles.

Who's that!?! Oh, hehe, I know...

Don't worry, Jen. I got your back.

TGIF!

It's Friday! And guess what...I don't have to go to work today! And guess what...I'm going out with my Sunday School class and I'll probably make a fool out of myself as always! And guess what...I'm going to play soccer tonight and make myself look dumb! Yay! Today's going to be a fun day.

Monday, August 07, 2006

Another Monday...

Yep, it's Monday again. Nothing really special about Mondays. Gotta go to work to clean those bathrooms. I'm tellin ya, my partner better come or I'm going to...do something not nice, not nice at all. Or maybe I'll just whine about it. That's what I'll do, I'll whine. I DON'T WANNA GO TO WORK!

But there is a plus side...at least I get paid more money than all of you! Ha! Now, it's your turn to whine. Peeth out.

Soccerdome!

Last night (or should I say, this morning) Snowman (a guy at my church) and I went to play soccer at the (aptly named) Soccerdome. The place was pretty sweet. It had two little soccer fields for like 4 on 4 competitions and they had one that was twice as big as one of the little fields. We played about four 16 minute games. It was turn-based so we had to sit out for about 45 minutes of so. I had a lot of fun, even though I was schooled out there and I was worn out. These guys were blazin' fast. I felt like a total rookie...well, I AM a total rookie but you get my point. I was running around pretending to know what I was doing but I only was fooling myself. Then, I was keeper (goal keeper) and it was there where I shined...then went dull whenever the ball got close to me. But they said I did a good job. I tried not to get a big head about that because as soon as you take a compliment well, you start playing like trash so I just said thank you and kept on.

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures because 1) It was a new place that I've never been and 2) I had no idea what kind of people I'd be dealing with; they could've took my camera while I was playing. That wouldn't have been cool but I'll manage to get some photos next time...and then put the camera back in my car so no one will steal it.

One turf burn on my right knee but I still had a blast (insert exclamation point) Maybe this is a sign of things to come...(play pensive music)

It's Time For VBS

It's Vacation Bible School time this week and our theme is "Onward Christian Soldiers." with knights and princesses and stuff. Yours truly is the Red Knight (fanfare). Check these out:

There I am! The Red Knight. There's the Blue, Black, and Green Knight. They're somewhere...

There are the Green and Black Knights getting ready for the jousting tourney

And here is the jester Mr. Tim Juggles, a key role for this week's VBS

What's a VBS without kids and gametime? Look at them having a ball!

And what's a VBS without good Bible preaching and teaching? Since the theme is "Onward Christian Soldiers," we're teaching the kids about being a good soldier for Jesus Christ and teaching them about the armor of a soldier (Eph. 6).

A long post but a lot of pictures so I don't wanna hear any complaints!

Item 3 of 3

An Abercrombie & Fitch muscle-cut polo. Um...I think this shirt is a tad too small. So you know what that means; starve myself until I can fit into it! Just kidding but the seller was right, these shirts really DO wear small. What oh what am I going to do? Give me time to think about this one...

But for now, (Jorgin von Strangle voice) just look at my bulging biceps...they're HUGE!

Camoflauge

Shhh...you don't see us...

Well, maybe you do but just use your imagination. (If you're lost, our shirts match the background)

Here are the bridesmaids. (From right to left) Eileen, Heather, Karie, Erica and Kaitlin

Tagging the Newlyweds car! We didn't mess it up too bad...did we?

Of course, we have to end with the two men who are going to be on the cover of this month's "GQ: Wedding Edition."
